Mr. Slate is a classic rock band covering four decades of rock and roll. Our high energy stage show includes the "Guitar Army" featuring blazing guitar solos from Jim Wright and melodic vocal performances of Dean Fields and Gary Perkins. With the solid rock power rhythm section of Bill Kiser on drums and Marc Malitz on bass; Mr. Slate engages crowds and leaves them wanting more every time. Our club stops have included Cubby Bear, Mickey Finns Amber Room, Penny Road Pub, Durty Nellies, Gabes Back Room Lounge, Edison Park Inn, and Chicago City Limits; with appearances at many outdoor summer "fest" shows. Mr. Slate was privileged to have performed at Fender Music's 60th Anniversary party hosted by Gary Gand Music.
