Chowdown Showdown: Who Makes the Best Soup?

Thin or thick, veggie-filled or carb-loaded, we're on a mission to find Buffalo Grove's best soup.

Most people probably agree that soup is one of the top comfort foods. Whether you’re sick, sad or battling winter’s chills, a hot bowl of soup often helps.

When you need a bowl of comfort, where do you turn? This week, we’re on a mission to find the best soup in Buffalo Grove.

Nominate the restaurant that you think serves the best soup by posting a comment in the box below. Nominations will also be accepted via our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The three most popular submissions received by 5 p.m. Tuesday will be posted as a poll Wednesday morning. The restaurant that receives the most votes in the poll will be named the Chowdown Showdown Soup Champion.

Want to explain what makes a particular soup so great? Tell us in the comments section of the column or write a review on the restaurant's listing under the "Places" tab.

If you are really pulling for a certain restaurant, be sure to share the columns on your personal Facebook page and Twitter feed to get your favorite spot more visibility.

Patch readers, please tell us, who makes the BEST soup in Buffalo Grove?

Definitely the Buffalo. The Matzo Ball soup and Cream of Potato are our favorites.
