Buffalo Grove's Last Dominick's Sells 25 Cent Cream Cheese

The store at the northeast corner of Buffalo Grove Road and Route 22 will close for good at noon Jan. 25.

Need some cream cheese?

Buffalo Grove's last remaining Dominick's store has it for just a quarter.

Cream cheese is just about all that's left at the Woodland Commons store, which will close for good at noon Saturday. Tubs and bricks of the product filled a refrigerated section at the rear of the store Thursday afternoon.

A hodgepodge of other items, from flea shampoo to powdered drink packets, occupied a portion of a single aisle. Remaining items have been slashed to 25 percent of their regular prices.

The pharmacy will remain open as the store is converted into Mariano's, according to signs in the front window and inside the building.

Most Chicago area Dominick's stores, including Buffalo Grove's two other locations, closed Dec. 28.
