What is your business best known for?

Fabulous hair service, wonderful nail services, relaxing spa services. Our salon is the only full service salon/spa in the northern suburbs that caters to the entire family and also features a separate and adorable facility for children under 8 called Moppets.

When and how did your business get started?

I was working as a stylist at a salon in Arlington Heights. In 1983 I married my wonderful husband, Phil. The salon was sold to a new owner who was not taking it in a good direction, so we decided to strike out on our own. The first time I looked in the Tribune for "businesses for sale," I saw a small salon in Buffalo Grove for sale and, coincidently, it was owned by my former stylist. Buffalo Grove was a young and upcoming community with a population at that time of under 12,000. We felt that the existing business and the community showed great potential for growth.  

Does your business offer a special deals card or program?

We offer a 20% discount on any new service to new and existing clients. We also offer 10% off all products in our vast retail area. Clients are given a retail punchcard which, when complete, gives them $10 off any retail purchase over $25. Membership in our Manicure Club may be purchased which offers $120 worth of services for only $85! Various monthly specials are featured to all clients who opt in to receive our email.
