Edward Jones Celebrates International Women's Day

Gary A. Coleman of Edward Jones in Buffalo Grove is participating in International Women's Day from March 5 through 16 by taking to lunch a woman interested in a career as a financial advisor.

In honor of the worldwide celebration, Coleman is inviting women in Buffalo Grove to consider a career as an Edward Jones financial advisor.

"International Women's Day has been observed since in the early 1900's, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies," according to the IWD official web site. "Thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate their achievements."

"We hope to give more women the opportunity that being an Edward Jones financial advisor offers, such as relationship building and work/life balance. By doing so, we can make a difference in more women's lives," Coleman said.

Edward Jones financial advisors come from diverse backgrounds. Teachers, bankers and engineers all have joined the ranks of Edward Jones. They all, however, have one thing in common: They are self-starters who enjoy working with and helping other people.

The firm offers an extensive training program for new financial advisors. As part of that training, Edward Jones financial advisors build their businesses by working with people face to face in the communities where they have chosen to live.
