Lono said maybe he was meant to lose so that Rogers could win.

Rogers overcame drug addiction and has said that he hopes his success in the competition can be an inspiration for all people struggling with drug addiction.

After the battle, Lono told Cee Lo Green that his coaching was not in vain.

In an interview with Christina Milian of The Voice, Lono said, “You couldn’t ask for a better person to lose to. He’s been like my big brother from day one.”

Lono said The Voice was a great experience.

“I learned how to become a man. This was my first time home away from home, my first time meeting people, going out and meeting new friends . . . My first time being on stage without my guitar. I’ve grown by leaps and bounds from this experience,” he said.
