Local Singer Battles Tonight on The Voice

The Voice fans will find out tonight whether or not singer Jamie Lono of Vernon Hills will advance to the finals.

Lono will battle his good friend Jamar Rogers to keep a spot on Team Cee Lo. They will sing I Want to Know What Love Is by Foreigner.

On the Today Show this morning, Rogers said he and Lono became good friends during the blind auditions. “I call this guy my little brother, “ Rogers said. 

Lono said they each have their own unique styles and it will be hard to send either home.  The show was pre-recorded, so they already know who went home, but the results are hushed. 

Lono said he’s still getting used to all the attention the show has brought him. He said in between shows, he’s still making sandwiches at the Potbelly in Vernon Hills.

“People come in and ask for me. It’s just weird. I’m a normal dude. I’m just getting used to  . . . people knowing who I am,” he told Today Show hosts.
