Patch Contributor Teaching at Harper College

Freelance reporter and photographer Ernest Schweit is teaching flower and portrait photography courses.

Buffalo Grove Patch contributor Ernest J. Schweit will teach two classes in the Harper College Community Education program this spring.

Registration is now open for portrait photography (LEI 0411-071) and flower photography (LEI-0446-001).

In flower photography, students will learn dynamic use color; composition and postproduction techniques that will help transform images of everyday flowers.

The class will also feature instructor-led field trips for shoots at local botanic gardens and professional critiques.

Portrait photography will feature professional portrait techniques simplified for everyday use with special emphasis put on photographing families and children.

Schweit is a portrait and freelance photographer based in Wheeling. His work has appeared in local galleries, libraries, restaurants, art competitions and art fairs. His photographs are featured in , published by Farcountry Press.
