The Historic Village of Long Grove Introduces Date Night Fridays: With Participating Shops, Galleries and Restaurants Open Late

LONG GROVE, IL (OCTOBER 2011) —Looking for something different to do on Friday nights? The Historic Village of Long Grove is proud to introduce Date Night Fridays.  Held every Friday evening this fall and winter and in time for local holiday shopping, participating businesses will extend their hours until 7pm to accommodate those wanting to stroll through town, shop after work and then grab something to eat and drink.

 

Kick off the weekend with a good friend, a special date or your fabulous mom by exploring the special exhibits, shops and galleries that are open late as the holiday shopping season approaches. Start early to view the wind sculpture installation at the Woodland Grove Gallery or stroll through the Howard Finster Vision House exhibit located within the Confectionary building. Then work up your appetite and enjoy Friday night drinks and dinner specials at one of the participating Date Night Fridays’ restaurants include Enzo & Lucia’s Ristorante & Café, The Village Tavern, Long Grove Café and Restaurant, and The Cedar Grill.

With several new recent business openings, there will sure to be something for everyone.  Whether you need to do some early holiday shopping or simply treating yourself, come out for Date Night Fridays and see all this unique Village has to offer.
