Rodgers and Hart: The Boys from Manhattan by Charles Troy

Richard Rodgers and Larry Hart wrote scores for 25 Broadway shows between 1925 and 1943.  In four separate programs Charles Troy examines their life through music, video, and slides of lyrics, photos, and graphics. These programs coordinate with the Rodgers & Hart revue being presented by Light Opera Works in October. In the fourth and final program, Troy examines Dying in Manhattan. After creating their most lasting show, Pal Joey, in 1940, Hart’s self-destructive nature finished the partnership. Registration required.
