Local History Fair

Discover extraordinary facts about your own community at the Vernon Township area's first-ever local history fair. Local historians will share details about our community’s notable residents, claims to fame, and little-known truths. Hear from experts from Lincolnshire, Buffalo Grove, Long Grove, Mundelein, Lake Zurich, and Libertyville, as well as further parts of Lake County.

After the author presentations, stay to peruse the exhibits and learn what local historical societies have to offer for history enthusiasts.

  • Author Presentations: 1-2 pm. Registration is required. Register at the web address below, by telephone at 224-543-1485, or in person at the library.

  • Open Exhibit Hall: 2-4 pm. No registration required, just stop by anytime the exhibits are open.

The Local History Fair is free and open to all.
