The Village of Long Grove Hosts Annual Oktoberfest Oct. 15-16 Celebrating its German Heritage

LONG GROVE, IL (OCTOBER 2011) — The Village of Long Grove will host its Annual OktoberFest Celebration October 15-16th, with family friendly activities throughout town on Saturday from 10am-10pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm. This German celebration is the perfect excuse for everyone to visit Long Grove and experience all that the Village has to offer!

“From authentic German beer and food to entertainment and atmosphere, this is one of the few true OktoberFest celebrations in the Northern Suburbs,” says Mary Ann and Chip Ullrich, owners of The Village Tavern. “It is just so fitting that the Village of Long Grove, with its German history dating back to 1847, and its international diversity throughout the Village’s restaurants and shops, is making it a tradition and destination every October.”
