"An Evening of Jazz"

The Stevenson High School Music Department will present "An Evening of Jazz," featuring a variety of vocal and instrumental performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 13 in the West Auditorium. Admission is free.

The Jazz Lab Band, Ladyjazz, Just the Guys, Jazz Band I and Jazz, Etc. will perform. Scheduled soloists include Emily Slaw and Adithi Rao (Ladyjazz); David Wood, Austin Vitaliano and Mikey Barker (Just the Guys); and Marlee Peck, Alexander Shaindlin and Abby Bornstein (Jazz, Etc.).

The concert also will feature the world premiere of "Gerry Always ‘Leaves’ a Smile," a piece written by Christopher Madsen and commissioned by the Stevenson Band and Color Guard Parents Association in honor of retiring Jazz Lab Band Director Gerry Peters.
