American Idol Results: Haley in Final Six, Stefano Out

American Idol voters pushed Wheeling resident Haley Reinhart through to the next round this week.

Reinhart was, for the fourth time this season, among the bottom three vote recipients following her performance Wednesday night of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.”

But it was Stefano Langone who was eliminated this week, leaving the 20-year-old Reinhart among the show’s final six contestants.

Judge Randy Jackson praised her song choice Wednesday night, saying, “I think that you chose a perfect direction for you. I think Adele is an amazing artist, I think she is an amazing singer, and I think you have that amazing thing as a singer in you as well.”

Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez also offered positive feedback.

“You brought a little bit of Haley to it in certain moments, and I thought that’s where you really shined,” Lopez told Reinhart.

Host Ryan Seacrest, who noted Wednesday that Reinhart has “such a great attitude" and keeps "fighting every week,” asked how she felt.

“Man, you know, there’s a lot of opinions in this world, and you’ve just got to take in all in and do what’s best for you, but take in all the great things that everybody’s trying to help you out with,” Reinhart said. “Take it in stride. I’m trying.”

In the on-camera interview following her song, Reinhart, who graduated from and attended Harper College, said her performance “felt natural.”

“I’m so glad I got to do an Adele song. She’s wonderful. I feel like, I hope America enjoyed it as much as I did up there. It felt natural. And that’s what matters, right? It was good. It was a fun time.”

Reinhart and the five other remaining contestants will perform songs by Carole King at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Fox.
