Whiz Kid’s Accomplishment: Sarah placed 1st in a competitive gymnastics meet on Feb. 6. This was only her second time participating in a competitive gymnastics meet. She has been a gymnast for five years.

Whiz Kid’s Key to Awesomeness: Sarah describes herself as smart, funny and flexible, which is good news for her as she continues her gymnastics endeavors! She shares, “Gymnastics is a good stress reliever for me. Because I get constructive criticism from my coach, it has better helped me to receive constructive criticism from others because I know they are encouraging me to be the best I can be.” In addition to Sarah’s exceptional performance in gymnastics, she sings in the youth choir at , volunteers at St. Mary’s as part of her religious education, is on the middle school Poms Team, and plays the violin in her school’s Orchestra “all the while maintaining her status on the Purple [high] Honor Roll at ,” says Sarah’s mother. Sarah feels capable of achieving success in any area of life due to her participation in athletics having now strengthened her confidence, commitment, and self-discipline.
