Whiz Kid’s Key to Awesomeness: Michelle has a passion for basketball; whether at her house, at the gym, or at Stevenson High School, she loves going to practice. From as young as she can remember, Michelle was exposed to the game of basketball, playing with her father, brother, and sister. She then began playing organized basketball herself when she was six years old. “I just really loved all sports as a kid,” she said. Because of her passion for sports, Michelle went on to play with travel and AAU teams. Basketball has shaped her life, both on and off the court. From the time she entered high school, Michelle set high goals for herself both in sports and in the classroom and has worked as hard as possible to successfully achieve them. Upon graduating from high school, Michelle will attend Western Michigan University on a basketball scholarship and has been admitted to the Honors College.
