Accomplishment: In mid-May, 19 elementary schools in the feeder districts participated in the Stevenson Art Consortium. Whether inspired by Wassily Kandinsky and cubism or imagined on his own, Dylan proudly displayed his work as one of a number of talented student artists at the Stevenson Art Consortium. Dylan describes his piece as a “fantasy face.” Dating back to his preschool days at JCYS in Buffalo Grove, Dylan has enjoyed art, participating in the Young Rembrandts drawing classes. Between those classes and instruction by his art teacher at Pritchett Elementary School, Dylan’s drawing and art skills have soared!

Key to Awesomeness: Dylan does many things outside of school and in addition to the creative arts to make him a “whiz kid.” He has been taking Tae Kwon Do for almost two years and is currently a purple belt participating in sparring. Dylan has been involved in activities at Pritchett including Lego building and Mad Science. Additionally, Dylan participates as a Tiger Cub Scout in Troop #36 and recently was involved in a Fishing Derby at Green Lake Park, helped the troop plant flowers, and assisted in clean up around the . He has earned Scout patches for collecting food for the food pantry as well as for the Pinewood Derby Car Race. When Dylan grows up he would like to be a camp counselor at Camp and a physical education teacher, as he is inspired by his P.E. teacher at Pritchett.
