Many of us look at the ability to drive as central to who we are—it’s part of our identity and tied to many things—our independence, how we enjoy life and part of what makes us feel like productive members of the community. After many years of safe driving, it’s difficult to stand by and listen to someone question our ability to drive.

Career Resource Center Holds First Ever Fundraiser

For a nonprofit organization tucked away in a cultural compound in Lake Forest, Career Resource Center (CRC) makes a significant impact. Funded by private donations and grants, it assists and mentors more than 1,000 people in their quest to find jobs each year.

Evanstonians Involved in Oct-Nov Production of Godspell

The Saint Sebastian Players (SSP) open the company’s 33rd season by returning to its origins, producing the musical Godspell (2012 revised version). Performances are October 18–November 10, 2013 at St. Bonaventure, 1625 W. Diversey, Chicago. Several Evanston natives are featured in the cast.

Students and Alumni to Celebrate Buffalo Grove's 2013 Homecoming Week, "Bernie's BG Bash"

Buffalo Grove High School is decking the halls with blue and orange in preparation for its 2013 Homecoming week, Oct. 7-12.  Dubbed "Bernie's BG Bash" in honor of the school's Bison mascot, the exciting week is planned by the Student Council as a fun celebration for students, staff, and alumni.

Freedom Home Care Brings a Holistic Approach to New Wellness Center at the Lodge of Northbrook

Freedom Home Care is pleased to announce their partnership with the Lodge of Northbrook, a new upscale independent living facility that opened its doors in late August, 2013. The Wellness Center at the Lodge will be run by Freedom Home Care, one of the leading home care organizations in northern Illinois.

Harper sophomore cross country runner Nick Modlin (Wheeling) is the embodiment of one who leads by example. The leader of the nation's top NJCAA men's Div. III cross country team, Modlin is the third Harper College Athlete of the Week for the 2013-14 school year.

Twinkle, Twinkle Little...Kitten!!

I'm Twinkle, and along with my siblings Smudge, Pinz and Star we were rescued by those busy angels at Placing Paws from Animal Control in Waukegan. Now we're living at the veterinarian's office (the ultra-wonderful Care Animal Hospital in Libertyville), and just having a ball!
