Get Your Knives Sharpened or Buy Produce at Buffalo Grove Farmers Market

From honey to produce, fresh offerings are available to locals at the Buffalo Grove Farmers Market.

The vegetables displayed at the Buffalo Grove Farmers Market are huge, said Kathy Lee of Round Lake.

Lee, who manages to visit the market at least a few times every summer, said she loves how the vegetables are bigger than they typically are at the store.

“And the signature sauces you don’t see in the grocery store,” Lee added. “I definitely want to visit more often.”

The fresh, oversized fruit and vegetables is a lure for Carol Williams of Buffalo Grove as well.

“It’s nice, good quality,” she said. “It’s about buying fresh and buying local.”

The farmers market runs from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 6, excluding Sept. 1, in the parking lot in Mike Rylko Community Park in front of Spray 'n Play, 951 McHenry Road.
