Did Your Buffalo Grove Home Flood?

If you have household waste due to flood damage, here's what you need to know.

Residents whose carpeting, drywall or other items were damaged by flooding on June 26 may dispose of these materials at no cost during their regular waste pickup date the week of June 29 through July 5.

The waste should be bundled so that one person can safely load the materials into the collection vehicle, the Village of Buffalo Grove advised in a post-storm update. Additional bulk items, such as water damaged couches, chairs, mattresses and tables may also be disposed of at no additional cost during that timeframe.

However, those who discard items unrelated to flood damage in excess of one cubic yard during this special pickup week may be subject to a charge by Waste Management, the village said.
