The Buffalo Grove area is experiencing positive temperatures for the first time in nearly 40 hours as the mercury hovered around to 3 above zero this afternoon according to the National Weather Service.
The wind chill remains at 9 below zero. Aside from a predicted low of -1 Tuesday night, the current forecast calls for no other sub-zero temperatures in the seven-day predictions. A high of 12 degrees is expected Wednesday.
Schools and other organizations are expected to be open Wednesday.
