Sharon Telson a Double Medalist at USA Taekwondo National Championship

A double dose of victory was in the cards for Wheeling’s Sharon Telson at the world’s largest taekwondo competition. The 30-year-old blue belt and student of the local White Tiger Martial Arts Center earned two medals at the 2013 USA Taekwondo National Championship – a gold medal in board breaking and a bronze in poomsae, also known as forms. A recent devotee of taekwondo, Telson was White Tiger’s sole adult competitor at the tournament.

“Sharon is inspiring to all of us at White Tiger,” said her proud instructor, Head Master Shik Lee. “She has truly tapped into her inner talent and determination, and has come far in a short time. We are proud to congratulate her on this very significant achievement.”
