Ackerman taught and conducted four orchestras at New Trier, and both played with and managed the Grant Park Symphony. Rosen adds, “His former students, colleagues, and the next generation of musicians are proud to honor his memory with this performance celebrating his career and love of music and teaching.”
The wine, cheese and dessert reception for those from ages 4 to 12 will feature music by 4 Strings Attached, an ensemble of gifted violin students from the Martin Lopez Academy.
A $10 contribution to the Congregation BJBE Zena, Clara, and Maurice Singer Memorial Choir Fund is appreciated.
