Where to Donate Toys, Coats in Buffalo Grove

A number of local organizations are doing their part to help less fortunate citizens this holiday season. Here's how you can help.

Holiday Gift Giving

Omni Youth Services accepts toys and gifts for babies to those 18 years old who are struggling this holiday season. The organization expects to provide gifts to nearly 500 kids this season. Individuals and groups and also needed to sponsor one or more children. Email Chrissy at ctrilling@omniyouth.org or call (847) 353-1606 for more information.

Toys for Tots collection boxes are set up at multiple locations in and around Buffalo Grove. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Buffalo Grove Village Hall, Buffalo Grove Police Department, Buffalo Grove Park District until Dec. 18 or the Vernon Area Public Library until Dec. 13.

Culver’s of Buffalo Grove has teamed with the Living the Dream Foundation to host a toy drive through Dec. 20. Donated toys will be delivered to Alexian Brothers Women and Children Hospital.

Vernon Township is collecting gifts for less fortunate families. To make a donation or to learn how to receive one, call Kathie at (847) 634-4600.

Winter Coat Collection

OMNI Youth Services is collecting donations of new coats for kids of all ages from low-income families. Email Susana at susanabecker@omniyouth.org for more information.
