Jan. 2 Snow Closures in Buffalo Grove
Some area institutions are closed Thursday due to the weather and roads.
While area elementary, middle and high schools remain on winter break, the continuing snow has resulted in the closure of other nearby buildings Jan. 2.
Vernon Area Public Library in Lincolnshire will not be open Thursday, a staff member posted on Patch.
That closing and others are also announced on the Emergency Closing Center website.
All three Harper College campuses are also closed, according to the site.
Buffalo Grove has received an estimated 9 inches of snow in the last 24 hours, with 2 to 4 more inches expected Thursday, according to The Weather Channel.
