Enter Raffle, Help Fund Mammograms

Buffalo Grove High School's girls volleyball team is fundraising for Northwest Community Hospital's mammogram program.

Buffalo Grove High School will host the annual "Volley-for-the-Cure" girls volleyball game at 6 p.m. Oct. 3 vs. Prospect High School.

The game will include a fundraising effort to support Northwest Community Hospital's Gift-A-Mammogram program, which provides no-cost mammograms and follow-up procedures for women who need this key diagnostic tool, but lack the resources to pay for it. The program is administered by NCH's Breast Center and funded entirely by charitable giving.

Both schools will be selling T-shirts for $10 during lunch periods through the day of the game, as well as raffle tickets. All proceeds will benefit the mammogram program. The raffle and silent auction will begin before the 6 p.m. varsity game. Prizes will include Chicago Bulls tickets, an iPad mini, a private Chicago skyline flight, gift certificates to popular restaurants and many more. Patrons need not be present to win the raffle prizes.
