BGHS Grad Performs in Opera Program

Lexie Polk, a Luther College sophomore, from Buffalo Grove, is performing in the fall opera scenes program "Duels, Divorce, and Divas: The Drama Unraveled"  Nov. 22-23 on the Luther campus.

Polk, the daughter of Brian and Sue Polk of Buffalo Grove, graduated from Buffalo Grove High School in 2012, and is majoring in music and religion at Luther.

Directed by Luther College professors Karen Kanakis and Jacob Lassetter, the program will feature scenes drawn from well-known operas, including Verdi's "La traviata," Offenbach's "Les contes d'Offmann," Beethoven's "Fidelio," Menotti's "Amahl and the Night Visitors," Verdis "Falstaff," Moore's "The Ballad of Baby Doe" and Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onégin."
