SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE
On Tuesday, November 13,
following Minyan at 7:30 PM, Congregation Beth Judea welcomes Shoshana Cohen, the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism scholar in Residence, who will talk on HUMAN OBLIGATION TOWARDS NATURE.
Shoshana Cohen, co-founder of Yeshivat Talpiot, teaches Tanakh, Midrash and Gender and Judaism at the Conservative Yeshiva. Shoshana is a research fellow at the Hartman Institute's Seder Nashim Beit Midrash for Gender and Judaism where she also completed the Melamdim Educator's program. She is a graduate student in Ancient Jewish History at Hebrew University and has a BA from Brandeis University in Judaic Studies. In addition to studying at Midreshet Lindenbaum, Shoshana is a graduate of the Advanced Talmud Institute
at Matan, and was one of the founding faculty members of Yeshivat Hadar in New
York.
She now lives in Jerusalem with her husband and two small children.
