Light The Night in Buffalo Grove for those lost in Newtown, Connecticut

A few of the surrounding suburbs have participated in "Light the Night" in honor of those who lost their lives in the tragedy last Friday.  I would like to see the residents of Buffalo Grove do the same.  Please, anyone in Buffalo Grove (or whatever town you live in), light a candle (real or flameless) and put it on your front porch on Wednesday, December 19, in memory of Sandy Hook.  Please spread the word to your friends and neighbors.

Thank you.

DeAnn, I will join in the moment of silence in remembrance of the 20 children and teachers who were murdered in Newtown, Connecticut and encourage others to do so as well. Another way to honor the victims is to make a blood donation in their honor. The Buffalo Grove Fire Department is hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, December 21 at the Highland Grove Station. While they prefer an appointment, they will happily take walk ins. I plan to donate and hope others will too!

Andy, I would love to donate blood, but I can no longer give blood since having breast cancer. I hope others will take this opportunity to donate.

These are all great ways to remember the victims and honor their families. Thanks for starting this conversation, Mark!
