Villages Offer Chances to Learn about Electricity Referendum
Three public meetings will be held in February and March to educate residents of Buffalo Grove and nearby communities about the March 20 referendum.
Residents of Buffalo Grove and nearby communities will have the opportunity to learn more about the March 20 electricity aggregation referendum at three public meetings.
Voters in Buffalo Grove, Palatine, Arlington Heights, Long Grove, Lincolnshire, Vernon Hills and Wheeling will be asked on the primary election ballot to weigh in on whether residents of those towns should have an alternative to ComEd. Their responses will determine whether each community seeks competitive pricing bids for electrical services.
Meetings are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Arlington Heights Village Hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road; 2 p.m. Feb. 29 at the Buffalo Grove Village Hall, 50 Raupp Boulevard; and 7 p.m. March 8 at the Vernon Hills Village Hall, 290 Evergreen Drive.
