ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS
Someone dropped off a note at the police station Feb. 7 stating that a resident does not remove his trash cans from the driveway and there has been a pile of mulch in the drive for an extended period of time. An officer spoke with the resident, who removed the cans and said he would remove the mulch in the spring.
A resident reported Feb. 6 that a neighbor who owns a pit bull allows it at times to be outside without a leash, in violation of village ordinance. An officer spoke with the owner, who stated that she was on an extended visit from Finland and was not aware of the special requirements for pit bulls. The officer made the owner aware of the requirements.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
An employee at a business on the 300 block of Lexington Drive reported a blue Ford Escape driven by a woman with a young child in the back seat circled the business several times then left the area at 1:10 p.m. Feb. 7. The employee believed the driver to be the soon-to-be ex-mother-in-law of her brother, who would confront the employee to learn her brother’s location. An officer called the mother-in-law at her downstate home and she advised that she has not been to Buffalo Grove.
OTHER INCIDENTS
