Police Blotter: Halloween Decorations Stolen, Tossed

DISPUTE
A complainant reported Oct. 15 that an intoxicated woman went into a store on the 1-100 block of North McHenry Road and became angry when the store refused to sell alcohol to her. The woman began to yell and threaten the employees. She left before police arrived.
DISTURBANCE
Officers arrived at 12:58 a.m. Oct. 15 to a business on the 100 block of McHenry Road to find two people fighting outside. The two were separated and it was determined that they were related and one of them was intoxicated. They left the area without further incident.
THEFT
A complainant on the 500 block of St. Mary’s Parkway reported several Halloween decorations were stolen and some were thrown into the street between Oct. 14-15.
Someone stole two hubcaps from a vehicle between Oct. 14-15 while it was in the Village Verde parking lot.
VANDALISM
Someone spray painted a basketball backboard between Oct. 14-15 on the 1000 block of North Buffalo Grove Road. The paint was removed without permanent damage.
