New Indoor Play Center Opens

Jump!Zone is one of the largest inflatable indoor play facilities in the area. A grand-opening celebration is scheduled for Saturday.

An 18-foot-tall fire truck and 17-foot-tall Batman are just two of the giant inflatables inside Buffalo Grove’s newest indoor play facility.

recently opened at 1465 Busch Parkway. The 12,000-square-foot arena includes eight inflatables and four party rooms.

“It’s a great facility—fun for the kids, good exercise, active play, safe and it’s climate controlled. It’s always a comfortable 70 degrees inside,” owner Bernice Elenz of Arlington Heights said. “At the same time, for parents we offer flat screen TVs, Wi-Fi, and there’s seating so they can comfortably watch their kids.”

Elenz and her husband have wanted to open an inflatable play place for the past five years. They jumped on the opportunity to open a Jump!Zone franchise after one opened in Niles.

“A franchise was available (in Buffalo Grove). It was close to home. It was a great business for us,” said Elenz, the mother 10- and 5-year-old daughters. “It allows me to pick my kids up from school and still have a business I can run. It was perfect for us.”

Laura Belluomini of Arlington Heights had her son Luke’s 6th birthday party at Jump!Zone.

“It’s really great that it’s brand new,” Belluomini said. “It’s a little smaller and scaled down, but sometimes that can be good. It keeps everyone contained.”
Belluomini said she was impressed by the party rooms and prices.

Jenny Soehn brought her son to Jump!Zone for the first time and was struck by the playful decor.

“I like the colors and the characters,” she said. “It seems like there’s plenty for [the kids] to do. They’re excited. They’re running. They’re having fun.”

Elenz said so far the kids have been drawn to the Disney-themed bounce houses. But she said the older kids really like the inflatables with the jumbo slides and obstacle courses. The facility is designed for children ages 2-12. There’s a café and parents can choose different food options for birthday parties.

Jump!Zone's grand opening will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5, and the first 100 kids will receive a free T-shirt. Special discounts on passes will also be offered. For more information on open play times, birthday parties or group events, go to jumpzoneparty.com
