Junior High Students Share Seuss with Elementary Schoolers

Aptakisic Junior High students read stories to children at Tripp.

Tripp Elementary School kicked off Read Across America on March 2 by inviting Aptakisic Junior High students to read Dr. Seuss books to kindergartners through fourth-graders.

The National Education Association's (NEA) Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on the birthday of children's author Dr. Seuss.

The NEA surveyed teachers and students and compiled a list of top 100 favorite books. Check out the teacher's list and the children's list and share it with your child. The NEA website also offers an Asian-American Booklist, Spanish/English Bilingual Booklist, 50 Multicultural Books Every Child Should Read, Celebrity Book Pics, 50 State Booklist and more.
