I noticed it as I was driving north on Buffalo Grove Rd/Windsor and Hintz at about 1:30. Now that I know how far north it is, it had to be massive to be visible so far south.

Just checked it out myself. It's to the west side of Didier. It's 2:55 PM and they're opening up the roads again.

I'm so glad it's cooler for the first responders on the scene. Opening the roads is a great sign.

Heard tons of sirens going back and forth non-stop. I'm glad that no one was hurt. First thought it was a traffic accident. Wonder if they know what started the fire?

Trucks from fifteen towns responded. Some wet down the nearby homes and waited on the individual cul-de-sacs / blocks in case one of the homes went up, while the other trucks worked on the fire in the field. Rumor has it that four twenty year olds were arrested for starting it with fireworks.
Just wondering - who foots the bill for this?

This is why fireworks are illegal. People do stupid things...This person should have known better. Dry brush and winds are perfect for a fire. Hope the rest of B.G. takes a lesson from this. Glad they found and charged the person.

Throw the book at 'em, and make them pay for the whole thing. Shooting off illegal fireworks is idiotic.
