Encore Wins $20,000 for Charity in Singing Competition
The Buffalo Grove performers' award will benefit the Lauri Bauer Foundation.
Buffalo Grove’s Encore group won the national Sing! competition, according to the event’s website.
The group, which is a division of the BG Singers, finished in first place following a live performance this fall at the Deer Park Town Center and online votes from fans.
Encore will receive $20,000 for its designated charity, the Lauri Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss. The singers will also share $5,000 in gift cards and the opportunity to work with Emmy Award-winning singer/songwriter Kevin Briody.
