Buffalo Grove High School will host a symphonic band festival at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15 featuring bands from Buffalo Grove, John Hersey, and Wheeling high schools.

The concert will feature Dr. Linda Moorhouse, director of bands at University of Illinois, as guest conductor. Moorhouse is a visiting associate professor of music and assistant director of bands at U of I. She is the recipient of many prestigious awards for both teaching and service, is an elected member and office-holder of professional music organizations, and has notable publication credits.

Band directors from the performing schools include Ed Jacobi (Buffalo Grove); Scott Casagrande (Hersey) and Brian Logan (Wheeling).
