Buffalo Grove Sex Offender Faces More Charges
Gregory Gentles, a registered sex offender, was charged this week with two felonies after police said he tried to meet a child at Kilmer School.
A registered sex offender in Buffalo Grove is facing felony charges after police said he arranged to meet a child this week on school property.
Gregory Gentles, 29, of 286 Bernard Drive, was charged with unlawful presense within a school zone and solicitation to meet a child. Both are Class 4 felonies, and are punishable by one to three years in prison and a fine up to $25,000.
The charges were filed after Buffalo Grove police officers saw Gentles, who they knew was a registered sex offender, at 5:45 p.m. Sept. 18 at Kilmer School while children were present.
An investigation revealed that he had communicated electronically with a person under the age of 17 and arranged to meet the child at the school “without the knowledge of the child’s parents for a purpose other than a lawful purpose,” police said in a press release.
Gentles’ bond was set at $200,000. He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 12 in Rolling Meadows.

Unless he has an extra $20,000 for bail, he's not out.

I am posting from my mobile so I always get a reject. It doesn't mean my post has been rejected. When I go to my desktop, the reject isn't there. Strange!

I guess I did not actually submit my first post so this one makes absolutely no sense. My first post congratulated the BGPD for a job well done. I have always been proud of our police department, and once again they did their job well. Howard, I agree with your statement whole heartedly.
