Winter Break Camp Helps Working Parents and Beats Boredom

We all love quality time with the kids during the holidays, but for many families, a two-week break from school can pose some real challenges.  The North Suburban YMCA's Winter Break Camp can help with the child-care gap, as well as providing a fun, active outlet to keep kids busy until school starts in January.

“Our day camp provides an all-day program for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade,” says Shannon Cartier, Licensed Child Care Director at the North Suburban YMCA. “Our activities include games, sports, swimming, arts and crafts and daily field trips. Plus, our camps are safe and include value-based programming focused on honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.”

Registration for the Y’s Winter Break Camp is available at www.nsymca.org, and parents can register for as many days as needed.  Camp runs from December 26-January 4 with full day care available from 7:30 am-6pm.  Scheduled field trips include: Jump Zone, Brunswick Zone Bowling, Marriott Theater, Sky High Trampoline, Nickel City and Blast Zone.

If a two-week vacation is not an option for your family, planned camp days can take the worry off your plate and help you to enjoy the holiday time together.
