SERVICE OF RELEASE FOR WELL WORN BIBLES  

Throughout the history of the church, persons have found themselves with Bibles that are very important to them but are so well worn that they can no longer be used. Some persons keep them despite their condition due to historical and sentimental value. That is most appropriate. Others seek ways to dispose of well worn Bibles. Historically, there are two ways to do so: to offer a service in which the Bibles are buried or burned.

On Christ The King Sunday, November 25, we will gather in the Labyrinth Garden at Kingswood United Methodist Church after the 10:30am service for a brief service of burial of Bibles in this place of prayer and reflection.
