Michael McEvoy of Buffalo Grove earns academic honor at North Central College
Michael McEvoy of Buffalo Grove was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Major in Physics Award during Honors Day May 15 at North Central College.
McEvoy is a senior physics major who graduated from Buffalo Grove High School. He is the son of Mike and Pat McEvoy.
He plans to graduate in December after completing a research experience off campus, then pursue graduate studies and earn a master’s degree in physics.
At North Central, McEvoy has been a dean’s list scholar. He’s played for the men’s soccer team. As goalkeeper for the Cardinals, he twice earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Week honors.
