"Howie" is a very large (20+ pounds) brown tabby/tiger cat. He is a 12-year-old neutered male with claws on all four paws. He is very sweet, but not used to bein outside so he is probably very scared.
Wandered away from his home in the Mill Creek subdivision (Dundee between Arlington Heights Road and Buffalo Grove Road) on 05/13/12.

I am happy to say that Howie has returned home and rest assured, he is GROUNDED! I want to thank the Buffalo Grove Patch for getting the news out on Twitter, Facebook and the electronic newsletter. The Patch performs a great community service!

I know how you feel when your cat gets loose, Anne. It's happened to ours a time or two. Glad to hear Howie is back home safe and sound. Yep, we ground ours too. Doesn't work, but we try anyway.
