Rosemont, Ill.-based First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG) announced today that its Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown hotel is accepting donations for items to be auctioned off at an upcoming White Sox game to benefit Books for Kids, a nonprofit group that builds libraries and promotes literacy with a special emphasis on low-income and at-risk preschool aged children.

A supporter of Books for Kids for more than 3 years, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown hotel is seeking interest-generating auction items—such as sports memorabilia, tickets to local concerts or events, restaurant or retail gift cards and more—to be auctioned off at a White Sox Game sponsored by the hotel beginning at 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7. All of the proceeds from the auction will be donated directly to Books for Kids to help build seven libraries this year—one planned to open in Chicago in September.
